Motorcyclist killed in fatal Denver crash Saturday night

A motorcyclist is dead after being fatally hit by a car Saturday night in Denver, police said. Denver officers responded to a crash near Federal Boulevard and Harvard Avenue around 6:57 p.m. Saturday, police said in an emailed statement to the Denver Post. The intersection is on the edge of Denver’s Harvey Park and College View neighborhoods. The driver of the car involved in the crash illegally took the right of way while turning left through the intersection and collided with the motorcycle, killing the biker, Denver police officials said. The driver, who has not been identified by police, was issued multiple citations for careless driving and failure to yield the right of way on a left turn, police said.
