With another debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump unlikely, all eyes will be on their running mates as they square off. Democratic Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Republican U.S. Sen. J.D. Vance will have a debate at 7 p.m. MST Oct. 1, and the exchange of ideas will be broadcast on CBS, CBS News 24/7 and Paramount+. Both vice presidential candidates will be at the CBS Broadcast Center in New York and “CBS Evening News” anchor Norah O’Donnell and Margaret Brennan of “Face the Nation” will moderate the exchange of ideas, the network said.
