WGN-Ch. 9 news broadcasters Erin McElroy and Demetrius Ivory in late June sold their five-bedroom house on more than 5 acres in Mettawa for their $950,000 asking price. McElroy, who is a feature reporter, and Ivory, who is the station’s principal meteorologist, now are divorced, McElroy told Elite Street in an email. She declined to comment further, and Ivory did not respond to a request for comment. The couple paid $776,000 in March 2022 for the two-story house, which was built in 1969 and renovated in 1976. The house has 4 ½ bathrooms, a family room with a stone fireplace and built-in bookshelves and a second-floor primary bedroom suite with a bonus room. The property also has a two-bedroom coach house with an exposed first-floor ceiling and a second-floor kitchen, and between the two homes are a pool with a separate changing area. Ivory and McElroy first listed the property in May, and sold it just a month later. The property had a $29,447 property tax bill in the 2022 tax year. Goldsborough is a freelance reporter.
