There’s now an official opening date for Daniel’s, A Florida Steakhouse, the sleek new steak and seafood eatery taking over the Fort Lauderdale space once occupied by Canyon and Val+tino: Tuesday, Oct. 8. The 4,500-square-foot steakhouse, at 620 S. Federal Highway, will be steeped in Sunshine State history and heritage — from walls adorned in Florida artwork to the menu, which will feature meat and produce from local farms and cattle ranches. “The focus on Florida extends to our beverage program,” said the Daniel’s wine and beverage director, Daniel Bishop, in a release.
