Federal Investigation: Disabled People Are Five Times More Likely to Experience Domestic Violence

Disabled people are five times more likely to experience domestic violence than non-disabled people, and make up a third of its victims, according to a new report published today by the federal Government Accountability Office. People with cognitive disabilities, such as those who are autistic, are even more likely to be abused.
