An AI-focused advisory body at the United Nations has today (Sep. 19) released seven recommendations to address risks and gaps in governance. It was last year, in October, when the U.N. set up the advisory body which includes 39 members who aim to inform governments and the private sector about opportunities and challenges with the new technology. A preliminary report was published at the end of 2023, with the most recent being its final report ahead of the U.N.
