A millennial couple moved from New York City to a one-bedroom house in Vermont.Full Joy Farm.Taylor and Tatum Barnes left New York City for a more affordable, permanent home in Vermont.The couple bought a one-bedroom fixer-upper with 2.6 acres of land in Vermont for $160,000.The slower pace of life in the countryside has been refreshing compared to the bustle of the city, Taylor said.After four years of living in their studio apartment in Brooklyn, Taylor and Tatum Barnes decided it was time to leave New York City.They were looking for an affordable place they could call their own: A house where they could put down more permanent roots, that ideally came with one or more acres of land where they could garden and start homesteading projects.The couple found a one-bedroom home in Vermont.Two Of Us Photography.
