Aerosmith announces retirement from touring as Steven Tyler's recovery from vocal injury is 'not possible'

Steven Tyler.Kevin Mazur/Getty ImagesAerosmith has announced they are officially retiring from touring after Steven Tyler's vocal injury.The 76-year-old fractured his larynx on the band's "Peace Out: The Farewell Tour" last year."Sadly, it is clear, that a full recovery from his vocal injury is not possible," the band said.Aerosmith has announced that their touring days are officially behind them as lead singer Steven Tyler's "recovery from his vocal injury is not possible."The band said in a statement on August 2 that its members made the "difficult, but necessary" decision to retire from touring after the 76-year-old front man fractured his larynx following a performance last fall.The group said in a post shared on Instagram that Tyler had spent months working to get his voice back to how it had been."As you know, Steven's voice is an instrument like no other.
