Tongue Tie May Be Overdiagnosed in Babies

NEW YORK — Tongue-tie—a condition in infants that can affect breastfeeding—may be overdiagnosed in the U.S. and too often treated with unnecessary surgery, a prominent doctors’ group said Monday.
