Airplane makes emergency landing on Interstate 76 in Morgan County

A small passenger airplane made an emergency landing Saturday afternoon on Interstate 76, according to State Patrol. At 2:25 p.m., the airplane was flying over northeastern Colorado when it experienced a malfunction and made an emergency landing on westbound I-76, the State Patrol said in a statement Saturday on social media. Troopers said the plane landed about 9 miles east of Brush on the interstate. Crews towed the airplane 9 miles west to I-76’s exit 92 interchange near Brush, where it was loaded onto a trailer and hauled to the Fort Morgan airport, the State Patrol said.
