During World War II thousands of Jewish families in Belgium hid their children in the hopes that they would avoid detection by the Gestapo and ultimately survive the war. Holocaust survivor Henry Eichenbaum was among the children that were hidden by Catholic nuns during the war. I met Henry during the recent Holocaust Survivor Day luncheon hosted by Ferd & Gladys Alpert Jewish Family Service that took place at Temple Shaarei Shalom in Boynton Beach.
