A 1,500-pound scissor lift fell Monday morning on a contractor outside the Kravis Center in downtown West Palm Beach, killing the 59-year-old man. The incident happened just after 9 a.m. at 701 Okeechobee Blvd. when the man was loading the heavy machinery onto a flatbed truck and it collapsed on top of him, according to West Palm Beach Police. The responding officer and workers managed to lift the heavy equipment off of the man.
