The forthcoming Street Fighter film reboot has received a 2026 release date from Sonydespite its directors recently exiting the project. Danny and Michael Philippou, the Australian twins behind the Talk To Me horror film in 2023, recently departed the Street Fighter reboot, but the studio is clearly ready to fight on.

Dakota Johnson has not always been given the most glowing reviews for some of her movies, with her big break in Fifty Shades of Grey and its sequels being slammed on its debut, and Madame Web proving that, even all these years later, the actress is still on the receiving end of some harsh criticism.

Transformers One director Josh Cooley has explained the movie's decision to change Megatron's origin story. The trailer for the animated prequel film shows a young Optimus Prime and Megatron before they adopt their more popular names, Orion Pax and D-16, respectively. Fans of the Transformers comics noted that the movie seems to present a very different origin story for Megatron, who is typically portrayed as a gladiator on Cybertron before becoming the leader of the Decepticons.

Critics weren't quick to praise the film and audiences rejected it at the box office, but "Bringing Out the Dead" is worth a second look.

Theaters in Minnesota and in the Dallas-Fort Worth area will all open their doors after the franchisee declared bankruptcy just this month.
