An illegal gambling network that ran from strip-mall casinos to a warehouse in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood was taken down this week by state and local law enforcement agencies. Authorities raided slot-machine parlors in suburban West Palm Beach, Fort Pierce, Vero Beach and Zephyrhills, confiscating machines and cash. Floridians are jumping on the newest TikTok trend: changing your eye color. The young and old have discovered that turning brown eyes blue or hazel eyes green can be as simple as putting in color contacts or as permanent as laser surgery that inserts color pigment into the cornea. Ophthalmologists say both come with risks. Keratopigmentation, also called eye tattooing, is performed on the cornea.
