Moana Live Action Remake in the Works, Dwayne Johnson & Auli’i Cravalho Will Return

A live action remake of the 2016 Disney animated outing Moana is now in the works, Dwayne Johnson has revealed. In a recorded message from Hawaii, and shared by Chief Executive Officer Bob Iger during The Walt Disney Company’s Meeting of Shareholders Webcast, the action star stated that a live-action reimagining of Disney Animation’s hit feature film Moana is in development, with both Johnson and Auliʻi Cravalho, who voiced Maui and Moana respectively, both set to return in some capacity.
