The name Wanatee Creek is now official for the creek running through Linn County.Linn County announced the name change on Friday afternoon. The county was notified by the U.S. Board of Geographic Names on Friday that the name-change request was approved and the new name was entered into the Geographic Names Information System, according to a news release.“This is a great day for Linn County,” Supervisor Stacey Walker said.
