Here are the 2021-22 enrollment figures of Iowa high schools

West Des Moines Valley is back on top, in terms of enrollment. The Iowa High School Athletic Association has released the 2021-22 BEDS Documents, the file from which schools are classified for sports postseason tournaments. Numbers are based on students in grades 9-11 from the present school year. With Waukee’s split into two high schools, Valley has the highest enrollment, a certified number of 2,141. Linn-Mar remains the largest school in the area — and fifth in the state — with a BEDS enrolloment of 1,666, a decrease of 36 students from 2020-21. All three Cedar Rapids Community School District high schools report a sharp decline — 15.5 percent at Washington, 9.5 percent at Jefferson, 6.1 percent at Kennedy. Here are 2021-22 BEDS enrollments of area schools, with state rank (for classification purposes, there are 365 member schools next year) and change from 2020-21: MISSISSIPPI VALLEY 5.
