More than 300,000 people in Iowa have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to data from the Iowa Department of Public Health.The state reported that as of 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, 305,794 people had completed a vaccination series. An additional 329,613 had received their first dose of two.Statewide, 941,250 total COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Iowa, with 907,213 doses going to Iowa residents.In Linn County, the total of doses administered as of Wednesday was 69,904, with 24,662 people, or 14.14 percent of the county’s adult population, having completed a vaccination.In Johnson County, the total of doses administered was 58,667, with 21,116 people, or 17.43 percent of the county’s adult population, having completed a vaccination.New casesIowa added 800 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday and 27 confirmed deaths.The new numbers bring the state’s coronavirus totals to 341,009 cases and 5,601 deaths, according to IDPH data.
