CEDAR RAPIDS — Noreen Bush, superintendent of the Cedar Rapids Community School District, was recognized with a national award Friday.The National Female Superintendent Award from the American Association of School Administrators honors women superintendents for talent, creativity and vision in public schools. The honor came with a $1,000 award, which Bush is donating to the Cedar Rapids Community Schools Foundation.Bush is the first woman to be named superintendent of the Cedar Rapids district.She served as interim superintendent before accepting a three-year contract for superintendent in February 2020.
