It wouldn’t be a surprise if people didn’t immediately connect the music on any of the albums by the ’90s-era hardcore punk band Tree with the music on “We Live Through It,” the just-released EP by Bryan Porter Hinkley. But Hinkley is a driving force in both of them. He was the guitarist for Tree, and he’s the guitarist-singer-composer on the new record.
