A 32-year-old man whom police saw throw a bag of cocaine out of a window at his Marengo home last year was sentenced to prison Friday. McHenry County Judge Robert Wilbrandt sentenced Theodore King to six years in prison for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. King pleaded guilty to the felony charge Thursday and, in exchange, prosecutors dismissed additional charges of aggravated battery to a peace officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting a peace officer, court records show. The charges against King stemmed from April 23, when McHenry County sheriff's officers served an arrest warrant at King's home in Marengo. While they were there, police witnessed King throw a bag out of a window at the house, according to a news release the McHenry County State's Attorney's Office emailed Tuesday afternoon. When officers recovered the bag, they found it contained more than 7 grams of cocaine, according to the release.
