Lake County Sheriff's Office to host Citizen Police Academy

The Lake County Sheriff's Office will host a Citizens Police Academy running from April 2 through June 4. Classes will be held at the sheriff’s office headquarters in Waukegan and sub-station in Libertyville.  The Citizens Police Academy is open to all Lake County residents aged 18 or older, of good moral character and with no felony convictions. Those who attend the free course will get an in-depth view of all Sheriff’s Office responsibilities, including Corrections, Highway Patrol, Court Security, Criminal Investigations, Crash Investigations, Evidence Processing and more. The application deadline is March 16, 2020.
