Chronicle of Higher Education: Bryant's Machtley was nation's highest-paid college president in 2017

SMITHFIELD — Outgoing Bryant University President Ron Machtley made more than any other college president in the nation, with a total compensation package of $6.2 million, in 2017, according to  the Chronicle of Higher Education.The report ranks the compensation packages of more than 600 private colleges and 250 public universities, using 2017 data.John J.
