Norman resident to compete on 'Chopped' tonight

By Dave CatheyWhen stay-at-home mom Stephanie Clinton has a second, she and a friend like to breathe new life into recipes on their YouTube channel called “Recipe Archaelogy.” You can watch those videos any time here.However, tonight you can tune into Food Network to watch Stephanie cook on the latest episode of “Chopped”It’s the second episode of the new season for the hit show, and tonight continues a special set of episodes featuring cast members from the iconic TV show “The Brady Bunch.”Adams, who lives in Norman, said it was surreal cooking for folks whom she grew up watching in reruns.“It was like, ‘Wow,’ that’s Greg Brady,” she said in a phone interview.She landed the gig by happenstance last November when a producer for the show called to say she’d gotten lost down a rabbit hole of retro recipes when she happened upon the “Recipe Archaeology” channel.At first, she wasn’t sure if it was real.“I had to do a little research to make sure it wasn’t a scam,” she laughed.Clinton loves to cook, and is fixated on old recipes, “the weirder, the better.”“I have no aspirations to be a professional chef, but it’s a good opportunity for the YouTube Channel,” she said.When asked what she’d do with prize money, Stephanie said she would upgrade production equipment for “Recipe Archaeology” to “make it look more professional.”“We have fun making fun and doing weird recipes, and we’d love to grow the audience,” she said.Tonight’s episodes airs at 8 p.m.Read more on NewsOK.com
