MTD's proposed budget includes 2.5 percent cost-of-living increase for staff

Also included in the plan, still under review by the agency's board, are an accounting shift for some MCORE costs, the replacement of 11 older buses and $1.5 million in architectural and engineering costs for The Yards development. URBANA — Bus drivers working for the Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District may be in line for a 2.5 percent raise starting July 1. Drivers currently earn $17 to $32 an hour, and their raises would be part of an across-the-board cost-of-living increase for MTD staff included in a budget proposal for fiscal 2020, according to MTD Managing Director Karl Gnadt. read more
