Bath area police officers honored for lifesaving actions on bridge

Four Bath-area law enforcement officers were honored Saturday night for their actions saving the lives of two women who attempted to jump from the Sagadahoc Bridge last year. Sgt. Nathan Gould and Officer Nick Green of the Bath Police Department, as well as Deputy Matthew Sharpe and Deputy Virgil “Andy” Anderson of the Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Office, received Lifesaving awards, Bath police Chief Michael Field said. At 1 a.m.
