Two people were taken to the hospital following a crash Wednesday night, police said. Lakewood Police Department and the Crystal Lake Fire Rescue District responded about 9:15 p.m. to Route 176 and Route 47 to the reported crash, police said. The driver at fault was traveling northbound on Route 47 and attempted to turn left onto Route 176, Lakewood Police Chief Michael Roth said. “It looks like they struck a couple of vehicles in the process,” Roth said. Three cars were involved in the incident and two people were taken to Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital, he said. The investigation is ongoing.
