MONROE — A Boston-based chain of movie theaters has reached a deal with Monroe officials to operate and take financial responsibility for the six-screen multiplex that the Town Board bought at a foreclosure auction in 2012 and has run at a steep loss since 2015.Flagship Cinemas, which operates 17 theaters in seven states, including one in Matamoras, Pa., is set to take over the Monroe Theater - soon to be Monroe Premium Cinemas - on Mill Pond Parkway next week.
