Vancouver firefighters were able to quickly extinguish a garage fire early Saturday morning, preventing damage to the rest of a Mill Plain area home. Vancouver Fire Department crews were dispatched about 3:30 a.m. to the 17700 block of Northeast 38th Way for the report of a residential structure fire. The first crew to arrive at the scene found a fire burning inside the garage of a two-story home, said Cpt.
