Schaumburg man who pleaded guilty in Gilberts killing gets 2½ years probation

A 50-year-old man was sentenced to 30 months of probation after pleading guilty to second-degree murder of a man he had met through church and taken in to his Gilberts townhome. Su Won Kil, now of Schaumburg, was originally charged with first-degree murder in 2010 and pleaded guilty to a reduced charge in May.
