A rally to support Mulims will take place Tuesday evening at Portland City Hall in response to the Supreme Court decision to uphold President Trump’s travel ban. The court ruled, 5-4, Tuesday that the president has the authority to ban travelers from several mostly Muslim countries if he thinks it is necessary to protect the country. The #StandWithMuslims rally, one of dozens across the country, will begin at 5 p.m., according to a notice posted by the Portland-based Immigrant Legal Advocacy Project.
