DENVER — Prosecutors say the man accused of killing a security guard last week shouldn't have been released from jail four days before the killing. The Denver Post reported Wednesday that Caleb Schroeder was released after being sentenced to probation, but prosecutors filed a new charge and thought he'd be held until bond. Deputies say they had to release Schroeder because a judge hadn't signed a warrant on the new charge. Denver Performing Arts Complex guard Scott Tice was found stabbed to death May 25.
