Having recently lost her mother to cancer, Maria Marino understands not only the fight cancer patients put up for their own survival, but also the fight just to keep up with the expenses of everyday life. "My mother had cancer and had a bone marrow transplant. I sat and watched many of these patients fight for their lives, so, so sick, in pain, with not only the fear of dying but, 'How will I pay for my bills, car payments, rent, house payments, utilities, medical bills?' They should not have to worry about all of this, it is so sad and not fair," Marino said.
