Retired Washougal man’s painting to be used for festival art

Washougal — Local bird enthusiast Wilson Cady’s painting of a sandhill crane was selected as the 2018 Washougal Art Festival poster and advertising image. Cady liked art in school and had an artistic mother, but he didn’t have much time for creating art until he retired. “Building a home, family, working, birding and environmental projects had kept me too busy to spend much time on art,” he said in a release from the Washougal Arts and Culture Alliance.
