Portland Thorns triumphant in first home match

After back-to-back road matches to begin the 2018 National Women’s  Soccer League season, the Portland Thorns returned to Providence Park on Sunday and beat the Orlando Pride 2-1 before 16,466 fans. Midfielder Lindsey Horan and forward Christine Sinclair each recorded a goal and an assist, helping Portland (2-1-0) extend its home winning streak to nine consecutive matches. “We’ve been waiting so long for this game and to have us back at home with these fans is an incredible feeling,” Horan said.
