Jury awards asphalt worker $8.25 million in lawsuit

WORCESTER — A jury has awarded a Massachusetts man and his family $8.25 million in a lawsuit filed after a piece of machinery used to seal cracks in asphalt fell and caused him permanent injuries.The Telegram & Gazette reports that a federal jury ruled in favor of Brian Goodrich and his family Wednesday, finding the companies that designed the equipment more than 50 percent at fault.
