KERSHAW – It’s about to get a lot busier at Stevens Park. Its centerpiece – a revamped $375,000 destination playground – will reopen at 2 p.m. Thursday when the ribbon gets cut. And supporters of the one-year-long rebuilding effort hope kids will be there in droves ready to explore and play. “It exceeds what anyone would’ve thought,” said Beverly Timmons, general coordinator for the Kershaw Community Park Council.
