This is a special year for the Troy Community Chorus, as the choir celebrates its 40th anniversary.Troy residents founded the chorus in November of 1978 as the Troy All City Choir, and the first performance was Handel's "Messiah" that December. For years, the group was sponsored by the City of Troy Parks and Recreation Department, but today, it's a full-fledged nonprofit organization dedicated to the promotion and production of high quality musical entertainment through the involvement of the community.
