The National Weather Service in Columbia has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the southeastern portion of Lancaster County until 4:45 p.m. Thursday, March 1. At 3:42 p.m., National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated that showers with damaging winds in excess of 60 mph were reported over Arcadia Lakes in northern Richland County and moving east/northeast toward Lancaster at an estimated 30 mph. Residents are urged to report damaging winds or flooding to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office at (803) 283-4136.
