Russell Wilson The Seattle Seahawks’ quarterback was traded from the Texas Rangers to the New York Yankees for future considerations. Texas selected Wilson in the Rule 5 draft in December 2013, two months before he led Seattle to a Super Bowl title. Wilson, 29, was a two-sport athlete at North Carolina State, then played two seasons (2010-11) in the Colorado Rockies’ system, went to Wisconsin as a graduate transfer, led the Badgers to the Rose Bowl, and went to the Seahawks in the third round of the 2012 NFL draft.
