The Forbes pecking order is based on five criteria: ◆ Hometown crowd reach – This is determined by the percentage of metropolitan area hometown fans who attended an NFL game, or watched a broadcast on television or listened to their team on the radio. ◆ Three years of Nielsen television ratings. ◆ Three years of stadium attendance based on seating capacity. ◆ Three years of merchandise sales from NFLShop.com.
