SCHENECTADY - James Dickinson, a county corrections officer, earned $100,598 in overtime pay, surpassing his $60,406 base salary on his way to grossing $163,592 last year."He's working over 80 hours a week," county attorney Chris Gardner said Thursday about Dickinson.He was one of four employees, either working in the jail or as part of the sheriff's office patrol unit, who collected significantly more money by working extra hours, according to payroll records obtained by the Times Union under a Freedom of Information Law request.Still, it was a medical doctor, the district attorney, and the county's economic development chief, none of whom get overtime compensation, who topped the list of the highest moneymakers in 2018.Jung-Wen Chen, medical director at the Glendale Nursing home, was the highest paid county employee last year with $196,835.
