ALBANY – Longtime defense attorney Gaspar Castillo, who was already serving a three-year suspension from practicing law, was disbarred Thursday following allegations he inappropriately took $57,000 in money from clients.Castillo, an attorney since 1981, was one of two local attorneys disciplined. The Appellate Division of state Supreme Court, Third Department, also censured Matthew Mann, the former counsel for the Republican minority of the Albany County Legislature, for his improper involvement in a child custody case with people he knew.
