Grappling with recent tragedies, some area school districts have brought in outside counselors to help take pressure off their own employees who might be grieving. Region 5 Director Danny Lovett, who helps coordinate shared counselors across districts, said it's common for educators to help each other in times of crisis. "They have always done that, especially for things involving students and faculty," he said. Hamshire-Fannett Superintendent Dwaine Augustine said he did not bring in extra personnel after a student died in an ATV accident Monday night, choosing instead to use staff from other campuses in his own district.
