Georgia-Pacific will halt a large portion of its operations in Camas, impacting between 280 and 300 people, the company announced Tuesday afternoon. The Atlanta, Ga.-based paper company will shut down its communication papers machine, paper converting asset, pulping operations and all related equipment. It will keep its tissue business running. In a release, the company said it will start to shut down those departments in the second quarter of 2018. This story will be updated.
