STAMFORD — New York police have identified a 16-year-old boy who they say crashed into several cop cars as he drove across the state line this week in a stolen pickup. Stamford resident Dereck Ramirez has been charged in New York with criminal possession of stolen property, attempted second-degree assault, and criminal possession of a weapon. New York State Police said Ramirez struck three Stamford police cars, including slamming into one head-on that caused the stolen pickup truck he was driving to flip over Monday night in Pound Ridge, N.Y. After pulling him out of the overturned vehicle, police said they found Ramirez in possession of a BB gun.
