Comment on PInehaven's Van Buren captures NEWGA golf championship

Pinehaven's Anne Porter Van Buren fended off Burden Lake's Heather Morrison to win the Northeastern Women's Golf Association senior championship Tuesday at Windham Country Club.The day's final group included Morrison, the 2015 NEWGA senior champion, who shot an 85 Tuesday to finish four strokes behind Van Buren. Caroline Merritt of Columbia also played in the final group and won her first NEWGA super senior championship in her first try.
