Barack Obama mocked Donald Trump over some of his more bizarre moments of late. Said Obama: “Have you seen him lately? I mean, he is out there, he’s giving two, two-and-a-half-hour speeches. Just word salads. You have no idea what he’s talking about.” He added: “You would be worried if your grandpa was acting like this.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) urged Fox News viewers to donate to Republicans because the party is “getting creamed” in fundraising. Said Graham: “We’re getting creamed on the Senate when it comes to raising money. Wisconsin, Ohio, and Michigan, our candidates are being out-raised 3-1.”

“Donald Trump’s rally in Detroit hit a snag on Friday night when the audio stopped working and the Republican presidential nominee passed the time walking around on the stage for about 18 minutes waiting for a fix,” USA Today reports. NBC News: “It’s the second time in the past week when a Trump rally has gone off the rails — failures notable because they come in the final weeks of a bruising campaign against Vice President Kamala Harris that, based on most public polling, has the race neck-and-neck.”

“Donald Trump on Friday dismissed more questions about whether he would release his current medical records, doubling down on refusing to provide a health update even as Kamala Harris works to sow doubts about his fitness for the presidency,” CNBC reports. “The 78-year-old Republican nominee, when asked if he will release his health records, suggested that he has already shared enough information about his medical status.” Axios: Harris questions Trump’s fitness for president over “exhaustion” and event cancellations.

This week, soon after his 100th birthday, former President Jimmy Carter was able to vote in his home state of Georgia—in part thanks to protections under the Voting Rights Act. As his grandson Jason Carter explained in a CNN interview with Jake Tapper, voting assistance protections in Georgia allow family members to help cast absentee ballots (the vote can still be discarded if a signature or mark on the ballot does not match what is on file, per Georgia law). “He sat down and told everybody what he wanted to do, and was excited about it,” Jason Carter told Tapper.

There’s no question that Ohio’s a red state, while its voters reflect the same malaise that’s common across America, along with a deep distrust of the current government.
