Former Broncos defensive end Neil Smith often found his way to the opposing team’s quarterback, totaling 104.5 sacks in his 12-year NFL career. On Tuesday, he was, as he said, “in the right place at the right time” again. Smith, 51, rescued a pregnant woman who ignored barricades and drove her minivan into rising flood waters in Lee’s Summit, Mo., according to Fox 4 in Kansas City. “She was in there, I didn`t know if she had kids, because she was about nine-months pregnant and she was very short, so I had to walk her out of there,” Smith told Fox 4 in Kansas City. Smith played three seasons with the Broncos, which included stints on Denver’s Super Bowl-winning squads in 1997 and 1998.
