A 41-year old man was killed Sunday evening when his pickup truck struck a tree and caught fire in the Franklin County town of Avon, police said. Jason Flagg, of Strong, died at the scene, according to a news release from Steve McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety. The crash took place on Mile Square Road just after 6 p.m.
